Kane Lab publishes in Science Signaling

The proteins Carma1 and MALT1 were previously implicated in TCR control of the transcription factor NF-kB and the stress kinase JNK. Here, we report that Carma1 and MALT1 also regulate T cell activation of the mTOR signaling pathway, which is a key pathway for control of cell growth and metabolism. Thus, these findings have potentially significant implications for understanding how T cells become activated and differentiate into effector cells to orchestrate specific immune responses
